- The Tiger II tank is even more protected with thicker armour than its predecessor. The Allies have virtually no gun that can defeat it from the front
- To upgrade the Tiger II from the already fearsome Tiger, a more powerful gun was required. The role is ably filled by the KwK 43, a new version of the long 8.8cm PaK43 anti-tank gun modified to fit the Tiger II’s turret
- The Tiger II inherited its drive train and suspension from the Panther rather than the Tiger, so despite its massive weight of 70 tonnes it is still agile in combat
